My name is Maggie Lynn and I'm a mischievously adorable 3 year old preschooler. I live with my Mommy, Daddy, my baby sister Marin Leigh (who's 1), our Labradors, Bear (Brown) and Milhouse (Yellow) and my lovey, Giraffe.

Fur-Brothers
Today I got to sit with Bear and then Milhouse. They are very soft and cuddly and did a very good job of holding me. Don't you agree?

I Hate Pooh-Bear! Well, On Second Thought...
So there I was, all sleepy and content, when Mommy decided that my diaper needed changing and that I needed something different to wear. So she puts this Pooh-Bear sleeper on me and the first picture clearly expresses how I feel about it. But after a minute, I decided that it wasn't so bad after all. Mommy was glad that I settled down because she and Daddy think this outfit is really cute.
As it turns out, it is a great outfit ~ to spit up all over! Now I'm much happier in my pink polka-dot sleeper. Take that, Pooh!

I Wear The Pants In This Family!
Today marked another milestone in my little life ~ I wore pants for the first time! Mommy had put some on me before, but thought I looked kind of silly until she found this pair. I almost ruined them a little earlier by filling my diaper with one of my famous 'orangie' poos (that's what Daddy calls them).
I just got done sitting in Maggie-Land (my special chair) for a bit and now I'm going to have some tummy-time. Being awake is fun!

My Very Own Chair
Mommy and Daddy took me to see The Simpsons movie! It's a good thing they didn't have to buy me a ticket, because I slept through the entire thing.
Here's a picture of me when I was awake and Mommy put me in a special chair that's all mine. I really like it! We don't have any plans all weekend long, so we'll take lots of pictures.

I'm Two Weeks Old!
OK, so technically, I was two weeks old yesterday and that's when these pictures were taken.
I spent a lot of time with Daddy yesterday while Mommy was at the doctor's. She's got a pulled muscle in her groin thanks to me, but it's nothing some ibuprofen, ice packs and heating pads can't fix. She says she's finally getting some payback for the easy pregnancy she had with me but also that I'm totally worth it.

Now THAT'S Better!
Here's your daily fix of me and proof that I do open my eyes! I've been wide awake this morning, and spitting up a lot. Yesterday I projectile spit up on Mommy and Daddy! I'm an equal-opportunity spitter-upper. Well, now I owe Daddy one as I just nailed Mommy on the shoulder. Between you and me, the more I spit up, the more pretty outfits I get to wear.
Well, since I spit up my breakfast, I'm hungry again, so I've got to go. Oh, by the way, I'm two weeks old today!

Lounging Around
We didn't get much done today. I was awake for a couple of hours but for the most part, I just laid around looking cute in my striped onesie and polka-dot blanket. Mommy heard that you're not supposed to mix prints, but I think I pulled it off pretty well.
Maybe at some point Mommy will actually take some photos when I'm awake. Maybe during tummy time tomorrow!

Pretty In Pink
Don't I look adorable in pink? Mommy was never a big fan of the color, but it's one of her favorites now because I look so cute in it!
I had a great doctor's appointment today. I weigh 7lb. 7oz. and am 19.5" long. I'm not jaundiced anymore and the doctor said that I was as cute as a Gerber baby. Personally, I think she says that to all the babies, but Mommy and Daddy were pretty proud.
I've been sleeping and eating a lot, but I've also been staying awake for longer periods of time, which is fun. I like to stare at my parents' faces and Daddy seems to think that I like watching sports on TV. We won't tell him that I can actually only see about 8 inches in front of me right now!

Daddy, Mommy & Me
This evening Mommy and Daddy went to a baby shower that was for me, but I didn't get to go. I got the better end of the deal though, I got to hang out with Grandma all night AND Mommy and Daddy brought home a bunch of presents for me!
They said that they were, in fact, the lucky ones because they got to brag about me to all of their wonderful friends.

Coming Home
Two days after my birth, Mommy and Daddy were finally able to take me home. I had to stay at the hospital for an extra day because I couldn't feed correctly. Once I got hungry enough, I didn't have a problem anymore. They are hoping that it's hot some crazy omen that they brought me home on Friday the 13th.
Regardless of the date, Mommy and Daddy happily brought me home to meet Bear and Milhouse. They are very friendly and seem to be adjusting to me alright. Bear doesn't like my crying, but he does like to sniff me and protect me while I'm sleeping. Milhouse doesn't seem to be aware that anything has changed at all.
For those of you who are interested, I was named after Daddy's Grandmother, Mary Marguerite and my Mommy's Mommy, Deborah Lynn. So I became Marguerite "Maggie" Lynn.

I've Arrived!
I should start my story by explaining my Mommy and Daddy's points of view. First, people say that most first-time mothers deliver past their due dates. Second, my due date was August 1, 2007. Finally, Mommy and Daddy were really planning on putting those three weeks to good use.
And boy did they ever! On Monday, July 9, Mommy had an ultrasound that showed I was between 7 and 8 pounds and was measuring at full-term size (and that I was definitely a girl). This was when Mommy was hoping I wouldn't get much bigger before I was born. HA!
Mommy's water broke the following morning at 5:15am and to this day, she claims that she was never more productive than in the hours between that and arriving at the hospital five hours later. According to her, as of that morning, the list of things that weren't done for my arrival was very, very long.
My parents settled into the hospital knowing that they wouldn't be leaving without me. But just to keep them on their toes, I wasn't actually born until 11:36am the following day, Wednesday, July 11, 2007. For all of the gruesome details, please contact my Mommy who will be more than willing to share, possibly to drum up sympathy for herself.
The end result was little me. At three weeks early, I was considered slightly premature, so I got a bit of jaundice and spoiled my parents by sleeping A LOT. Mommy had to wake me up to feed me and I was kind of a slow learner at that because I was early. Other than that, I try to overachieve at everything I do. And, I look exactly like my Daddy.
I'm very fortunate to hae tons of people to love me, including Mommy, Daddy, Bear, Milhouse and of course, all of my wonderful grandparents. I am sure there will be lots of stories to share and pictures too, if Mommy doesn't slack off and is able to keep my site updated. Stay tuned...
