Seven Months Old!

The time is just flying by as I turn 7 months old today! And while I'm thinking about it, why is it that I don't get a present every month instead of having to wait until my one year birthday? Of course, I have everything that I need and couldn't ask for anything more. Well, I'm sure I could come up with something...

Here are some pictures of me with some of my stuffed animals from my jungle bedroom. I've got Snow Leopard, Tiger, Panda, Polar Bear Mommy & Baby and my special pal, Monkey. They all helped me celebrate my month-day. Elephant and Giraffe wanted to help too, but I got kind of tired of having my picture taken so we'll make sure that they get priority pictures when I turn 8 months old!

Screamapillar

Over the past week, I have been constantly making all sorts of squealing, squawking and screaming sounds. I can even hit a couple of high notes that only Bear and Milhouse can hear.

So, my new nickname, courtesy of Daddy is "Screamapillar". The Screamapillar is a Simpsons animal which resembles a large orange caterpillar that screams nearly all the time, even as it sleeps. I was able to find a picture of one, but haven't got a sound clip yet.

Just to give you a little sample of my Screamapilling, here's a super-short video of me. And it was actually unintentional that I happen to be wearing a pink sleepsack so I kind of look like a Screamapillar too.

Where Did The Baby Go?

Hi all, Mommy here... I had to take over from Maggie to tell this story ~ it doesn't tell too well from her point of view. To preface ~ Maggie has just started rolling around as up until recently, she was content just flipping from her back to her stomach and vice versa. Now she's a baby on the roll.

So the other night, she and I are hanging out in the rec room ~ she's down on the floor, rolling around with some toys on a blanket I put out for her and I'm on the couch kind of zoning out on a puzzle. We smile at each other from time to time and she's making all sorts of fun sounds so I know she's content playing on her own.

After a bit I realize that it's gotten very quiet so I look down and the baby is GONE. Instantly I panic, my heart racing and palms sweating, until I notice some movement out of the corner of my eye. I look down to my right and see Maggie happily staring back at me from underneath the couch! She's rolled underneath it and can't go any further, but was totally happy to lay there, checking out a new space and point of view.

Note to self: keep a closer eye on a mobile baby. I really wasn't prepared for rolling!

This doesn't look that heavy...
