That's No Place For A Nap

As I'm sure you all know, I have always been a far better sleeper than Marin. Seriously, she's 9 months old now and still hasn't slept through the night and her naps are only about 45 minutes long. Well, yesterday morning, Marin decided to skip her morning nap altogether. A couple of hours later, we were having an early lunch at the table, and Marin was so sleepy she actually fell asleep in her chair! Hahahahaha! Mommy moved her into the crib and when she woke up I told her that the table is no place for a nap, but she just tried to crawl on me and pull my hair. Anyway, here's the photographic evidence:

Oma & Opa's Klein Prinzessin

Back in August 2008, when Mommy and Daddy just started thinking about me, they went with Maggie, Oma and Opa to Europe, mainly Germany and Austria. Two very important things happened while they were in Austria.

1. Oma bought Maggie a traditional Austrian outfit for girls called a Dimdl (think Heidi and Alpine Mountains). She saved it for a Christmas present but once Maggie received it, her head was too big and she couldn't fit into it!!! Oma was devastated and she tried desperately to find a way for Maggie to fit into the dress but she never did.

2. Mommy and Daddy knew that when they had a second baby, if it was a boy, his name would be Mason Lee after Daddy's Grandfathers. But they never had another 'M' name picked for a second girl but knew they would use the feminine spelling of Leigh as a middle name. While in Austria, Mommy got a massage from a woman who had a baby girl exactly one month older than Maggie. Her little girl's name was Marin. Clearly, Mommy & Daddy fell in love with the name.

And ever since I was born, Mommy and Oma have been trying this dress on me constantly to make sure that we get some good pictures of me in it before my head is too big to fit into it. Here are some initial results in honor of my 9 month birthday tomorrow:

Oldies But Goodies

Mommy has been organizing old photos and videos and came across some of me that I don't think we ever posted. Both of these videos were taken before Marin was even born - the one of me taking a quick dip was just two days before she arrived. Enjoy!
