Speaking of costumes, this year started off with Marin as an elephant and Maggie as a monkey. This was a bonus for Sean and I as we had bought these costumes in previous years and the girls finally fit into them (and wanted to wear them- you might remember Maggie turning down the monkey costume last year when Marin was a banana). Anyway, they got to wear their costumes to daycare/preschool... and that's literally where the s*** hit the fan(ny). And the costume. Preschool was nice enough to put the monkey costume into the laundry, where it STAYED all weekend.
So Maggie, although happy as a monkey, got to go as SuperGirl which she loved. Giraffe even got to wear a cape. We went trick-or-treating with our dear friends, Tara, Mario & the kids, and had a great time. Maggie has been working on her bartering skills with the candy, when she says "how 'bout 4 pieces?" we start at one and eventually work our way to 2. Once she sweetly brought Sean a lollipop and, of course, produced one for herself as well. I think the funniest part is that she moves a chair over to the counter, grabs some candy, moves the chair back, and then comes to us with the candy hidden behind her back and asks to eat it. Until next Halloween!
